Glasshouse horticulture is a specialist industry - and that needs specialist advise. Food security is much higher up the Agenda post Covid, and the advent of Lower Carbon farming techniques, use of alternative energy sources, and the creation of super-controllable growing environments with LED lights; Vertical Farming opportunities and Pharming, and it's all change.
In our experience, such projects often don't evaluate the core horticultural activity that underpins the investment effectively enough. The cropping determines very specific glasshouse and equipment packages needed, energy profiles vary, and who will operate the site profitably (or indeed take it over if primary tenant fails).
